OPEN CHAIR POSITIONS
Our nonprofit charity is run 100% by volunteers to fulfill our mission of helping the homeless break the cycle of poverty. Project Hawai'i team will work with you to support you to realize that your contribution of time and effort is a huge success for the homeless keiki.

Fundraising Committee Chair:
This is a year round position for an individual that is willing to reach out to companies and organizations to create fundraising opportunities through various development techniques including prospecting, targeted follow-up, and new lead generation.
Fundraising tasks would be geared toward any and all of our programs. Duties would include writing letters, making phone calls, follow up with potential donors, and set up collection kokua cans in the community.
Big Island Summer Camp Chair:
We are seeking an individual on the BIG ISLAND who is ready to take on a strong role for our signature summer camp event. This position will work closely with Executive Director Magin Patrick reaching out to the community to fill 12 workshops where guests can share their talent with our homeless keiki. Each workshop is a 2-4 hour commitment from the donor.
Other duties would be to coordinate and manage other volunteers in securing food donations, conducting food drives, and running fundraisers to purchase food used in the camp. This individual would be working with groups, individuals, and companies for donations of food items. Reaching out to local restaurants for them to provide a meal for our camp has worked well in the past. We are striving for only healthy food options, 100% organic when possible.
Finally, the Big Island Summer Camp Chair will assist the Executive Director in fundraising and collecting needed supplies for our back to school support program including funding for school uniforms. This position typically begins January/February and continues through the completion of the Summer Camp programs.
O'ahu Summer Camp Chair:
We are seeking a self-starter on O'AHU ready to make phone calls and write emails to companies in an effort to sponsor the activities and meals of our Adventure's Abound summer program. Other duties include reaching out to the community to obtain sponsors ready to conduct a 2-4 hour leadership or teen mentoring workshop and fundraising for activity supplies.
We are seeking an individual who would like to take on a strong role in our charity beginning with a few hours in October to get the ball rolling and then work through mid-December helping to make the holiday season a success for the homeless keiki.
Duties include collaborating with Executive Director Magin Patrick and the fundraising team to develop a fundraising strategy, timelines and goals, and developing new programs that engage the community in raising donations.
Other duties include helping to set up and monitor collection sites and kokua cans with companies as well as assisting with organizing volunteers to help meet our Christmas Wish program goals.
