Share Your Talent Workshops
We invite the public to share their talents with our homeless keiki. Our goal is to help open the camper's minds to the wonders around them while teaching them proper behavior required to learn and succeed in school. Campers will learn to follow directions, wait their turn, stand in line, listen, work together, and so much more. We only have a week to get them ready to succeed for their upcoming year at school.
The Big Island Edu-Camp is hosted at Kalopa State Park in the Honoka'a area. Each workshop/ activity is 3 hours long. You can choose either the morning or afternoon time slot whichever is more convenient for you.
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Share your talent sponsors must provide all materials needed to complete their activity and provide at least one person to assist them to conduct the workshop. The instructor typically will need an assistant. The sponsor must also provide a healthy snack item and an individually packaged drink for 40 people as this will be part of the workshop.

Arts & Craft Drive
A great way to get involved with our homeless keiki is to fundraise an Arts & Crafts drive for project supplies. Children engage their minds in Arts & Crafts many times during our summer camp program.
As a volunteer, you can either fundraise the cost of $10/per child per activity. For these fundraisers we do ask that you cover the cost for all of the children for each activity. Please plan on a total of 24 campers per activity so the total fundraising effort would need to be $240.
Another option would be to provide a craft project for our volunteers to implement. Sponsor needs to purchase all the supplies and pre-package them individually for the children to be handed a complete project. A sample of the project put together and step by step instructions must be turned in. Here are two pictures showing how they should be organized.
All of the completed project supplies need to be dropped off at one of our two drop off
locations in Hilo/Keaau. Supplies can also be mailed to our office location which is
easier for our charity to receive and process.
You can either fill out the questionnaire clicking here or email us at

Keeping our homeless keiki healthy is a main component of our mission. Providing nutritious meals over their summer break is how we accomplish this. You can volunteer to provide meal support to our precious children by:
VOLUNTEER IDEAS FOR MEAL SUPPORT:
Hosting a collection towards our meal plan
Hosting a fundraiser to provide the most needed menu items
Make a pre-approved meal and deliver to our summer camp ready to go or prepare it at camp using our kitchen facilities
Provide the ingredients for a meal or snack and drop off before camp. We will prepare the meal.
Provide a prepared frozen meal before camp. We can coordinate a drop-off location that works for both parties.
Volunteer to help organize food deliveries and donations.
Farmers and produce growers, we are happy to accept any items that you wish to contribute to our meal planning.
Fundraise for Costco, Target or Walmart gift cards that we will use to purchase perishable items.
Volunteer to help get an organization to sponsor a meal.
There are strict guidelines to meal support as we must be caring for the children.
We strive to provide them healthy choices that are organic when possible. Please stay away from foods / drinks that are high in sugar, fat, are genetically modified, or processed.
We understand that this is more expensive but it is far better for our health of our keiki and it's also a teaching moment we can use to help them make healthy decisions in their future.
You can either fill out the questionnaire clicking here or email us at email@example.com. We will provide more details and guidelines upon your request. Mahalo again for making this a wonderful camp for our children.
